Stashr AI privacy policy
Last updated 10 October 2026
Stashr AI (Instagram: @stashr.ai) turns Instagram posts and reels that you choose to send to it into a private, searchable memory. This page explains what we collect and how you control it.
What we collect
- Messages you send to @stashr.ai, including shared posts, reels and links.
- Your Instagram-scoped user ID, so we can keep your saved items private to you and reply to you.
- For each item you send: the media and caption made available to us, and what we derive from it (transcript, on-screen text, a summary, category, tags and a search index).
How we use it
Only to save, organise and search your items, to reply to you in Instagram, and, if you connect one, to let an AI assistant you authorise read your saved items. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Service providers
To understand an item, we send its media and caption to Google's Gemini API, which returns the transcript, summary and search data. Your data is stored in a Supabase database and the service runs on Vercel. During this early preview we use Gemini's free tier, under which Google may use submitted content to improve its products; we will move to the paid tier, which does not, before opening Stashr to more people.
Sharing
Your saved items are visible only to you and to assistants you explicitly connect. You can revoke a connected assistant at any time.
Retention and deletion
Your items are kept until you delete them. You can delete any item, or everything, from the Stashr dashboard, or send the message delete my data to @stashr.ai on Instagram and we will delete your saved items, derived data and media within 30 days. Removing Stashr from your Instagram connected apps stops any further processing.
